Bay View Roofing Inc. completed an IB Roof System on my SF home and I am greatly appreciative they have made my roof leak free. I am no longer afraid when I see a big rainstorm approaching now. Brian Perez the owner has been a great help and responsive to all my questions and needs. He knows not only the IB Roof System (one of the best) but all roofing materials in use now for flat and sloped roofs including shingle. I had leaking skylights that I tarped for many years and Brian replaced them with new custom skylights which now allow sunlight to brighten up my home once again. I know my review is much longer than most but I wanted to give you a more detailed experience you will have have if you choose Bay View Roofing. I am the type of person who thoroughly researches and goes through a series of steps before I engage services I need. I also ran a 80 person electrical and mechanical contractor company many years back as a serial entrepreneur. Brian and Bay View Roofing was referred to me by next door neighbor who has been remodeling his house for years, which provided credibility when he referred them. I had already talked with other roofers before meeting with Brian, the owner. Brian immediately struck me as person who is very authentic and honest. But there was still the questions of competency, professionalism and price. Of all the roofers I spoke with, he was the most thorough evaluating what was needed, which begin to answer the question of competency. He also provided me with most thorough and detailed estimate that began to address his professionalism. Unfortunately, I needed to put the roofing job on hold for a year because the funds I had ear marked were needed elsewhere. I called the following to year to re-affirm his earlier evaluation and estimate. We agreed on price, type of roof and scope of work. Brian was very flexible in working with me in how I wanted to structure the financing, which I deeply appreciate. I was also planning to have the house painted after he completed their work and then have a house appraiser come out for second mortgage. There was a tight schedule between the three events so I reaffirmed in an e-mail their schedule dates. There was some confusion around the staring time, which was the first possible break in professionalism around communication? Brian quickly took responsibility for his part in the miscommunication and made the necessarily adjustments. How someone handles themselves when things go wrong is a good predictor how the project could go. There is maxim in business too under promise and over deliver. That is what Brian does! Besides finishing the job in half the time projected, he did a series of jobs that were not in his original quote and he either did not charge me for or threw in his labor for free and I paid the material cost. Construction people can often be very competent but not very professional in keeping there word and/or adjusting to needs of a customer. Brian does both well. I strongly recommend when you are considering a roofer, at a minimum, meet with them and experience their competency, professional and the competitive pricing that I experienced. An additional note, a neighbor across the street was so impressed their job, he asked me for their name and number and met with them the following week!
Brian and his crew first fixed a leak. I then hired them for the whole roof. They found underlying problems, fixed them quickly, and added improvements to make everything last longer. Very professional.
Bay View Roofing is nothing short of amazing. Brian, the owner, demonstrated expertise, patience, trustworthiness and persistence in figuring out and addressing the mysterious source of my leaking roof. Throughout the process, he was incredibly responsive, provided immediate follow-up and explained the cost/benefits of each available course of action, encouraging me to make the best decision given all factors (including my budget) vs. just steering me towards the most costly option. I ultimately replaced the roof and Brian and his team did a fantastic job - sharing pictures along the way so that I knew exactly what was happening and could see the end result. Last but not least, they cleaned up everything perfectly and made sure I was a fully satisfied customer, which I was indeed. Thank you Bay View Roofing - you really went above and beyond!

There was a leak on the ceiling and Brian Perez came and checked the cause of the leak. Repairs were done to the roof & the leak stopped. In our opinion, Brian did a good job of fixing the problem. He was also professional & courteous in his dealings with us.
Brian and Bay View Roofing did a tremendous job on my very vintage home. The bulk of the work was on a very STEEP roof, 3 stories up. Brian was the first contractor I met with, out of 4, and from the initial meet I felt comfortable. I did my due diligence and reviewed the other bids. Bay View Roofing was the clearest, most detailed, and the one I had faith in. Brian recognized that I was an owner that liked to research and learn things. Thanks to him, I watched some very useful videos explaining many facets of a roofing job and comparison of roofing materials. Brian kept me informed, responded to questions and concerns, and was always happy to provide additional information to satisfy my curiosity. I appreciated him taking photos, that I could not take, from up on the roof. From tear off to finishing with gutters, everything went well. We sailed through inspections, without issue. The entire experience was interesting and pleasing. Thank you.

Brian's crew came out and patched a hole left from an abandoned plumbing vent and added two new holes for a new plumbing vent and a bathroom exhaust fan. The price was very reasonable for the work and they came out exactly when they said they would. While up there they did not like the look of my roof so went around and patched up a bunch of damage (being a 25 year old shake roof it was a bit worse for the wear). They did not even charge me for that. Would not hesitate to work with them again.
I have been a property manager for nearly 40 years, and I can confidently say that I have never encountered a better roofing company. Our home has a 70 year old tile roof. Cleaning and repair require extra care. Brian and Bay Are Roofing have done all our cleaning and repair for the last 5 years. I was immediately impressed by their speed, skill, caution, and value. I call them every September to get things tight for winter.
We could not be happier with our roof replacement by Bay View Roofing which was completed in July 2024. Brian Perez, Bay View's owner and founder, could not be more pleasant and easier to work with. The entire process, from the estimating to contracts to existing shingle and underlayment removal to installation of new underlayment and shingles to final inspection, went smoothly and flawlessly because of the attention that Brian and his crew gave to our project. Brian's estimate was quite competitive compared to the 5 others that I received. Moreover, Brian was the most complete and methodical of any of the folks who came out to give an estimate. Larger companies frequently sent folks whose only job is to do the estimate (one person didn't even bother to climb onto our roof) and have no role in the actual work. With Bay View Roofing, you get the boss to come out. Not surprisingly this resulted in a very accurate estimate with no surprise add-ons or change orders when his crew actually replaced the roof. Brian and his crew were very meticulous about not making a mess and cleaning up after themselves when they took down the existing roof. It's an extremely messy job, but at the end of the day, the area around my house was spotless. The new roof (I chose to go with Malarkey shingles) that they put up is absolutely beautiful. They were very careful about replacing all of the flashing and protrusions with new material. Moreover, Brian came up with creative options to deal with wood rot that he found in our gable louver vents and willingly did additional carpentry to repair them to keep the original look of our house. I have no hesitation recommending Brian and Bay View Roofing to anyone in the Bay Area who is looking to do a roof replacement. I fully expect that our replacement roof will last many, many years. But with Brian, I also know that if an issue does arise, Brian with address it to our satisfaction. He is an owner who takes pride in his work and stands by it.

Brian and his assistant came out to fix a leak in my roof. The leak was coming into the house. He worked to find the leak and it started raining during the process. He kept working to find the solution even though it was raining. He found the reason for the leak, explain everything and made the repair. Extremely nice and professional man. I will definitely be using him again, if needed. I cannot say enough good things about his demeanor and thoroughness in his work.
